Cloves are the flower buds of the clove tree, an evergreen also known as Syzygium aromaticum . Found in both whole and ground forms, this versatile spice can be used to season pot roasts, add flavor to hot beverages, and bring spicy warmth to cookies and cakes.
We source Tanzania cloves from Zanzibar, Pemba and Unguja islands off the coast of the country. We only draw contracts with family growers who follow strict farming conditions including the use of mulch and farmyard manure for soil enrichment. Our farmers also rarely use harmful pesticides on their trees.
